As warmer weather hits British Columbia, women’s and family group SheSummits is looking to attract people to outdoor events.
One of its first efforts will occur this April, when the group hosts ‘Beach Day’ at North Vancouver’s Panorama Park. In addition to the outdoor fun to be had, the event will feature educational programming for children and families, including topics such as pollution and eco-friendly alternatives.
SheSummits Beach Day has partnered with Deep Cove Kayak to supply kayaks and stand-up paddle boards to help attendees explore Vancouver’s scenic coves and beaches. The nearby Blue House Café will provide snacks and refreshments for attendees. Outdoor events like this are typically low-tech while hoping to bring the community together. Printing services like poster printing are often a solution for this type of event, alongside other ‘green’ products like recyclable Mugs.
SheSummits is a North Vancouver organization that works to encourage women and families to experience the outdoors in a safe and sustainable way. In addition to outdoor events, it sponsors a number of film evenings featuring adventurous features and short films, including the annual Vancouver Mountain Film Festival. One such event will be held the day after the beach adventure, featuring a presentation from climbing legend Lynn Hill.
The Beach Day will kick off at noon on April 6 at Panorama Park.Get a Free Quote for Mugs
