North Vancouver gardeners who are planning their spring schedule may want to include a stop at a local venue so they can take advantage of a pop-up plant sale.
The Lynn Valley Garden Club will be offering the chance for budget-minded green thumbs to purchase a variety of plants, and it will be open for four hours. The items will be sold, first come first served, and a portion of the proceeds will be used to fund community projects.
The activity will provide the chance for the public to buy a variety of herbs as well as perennials, and they will all be grown with a good root system. Vegetable starts will make it easier to get a jump start on growing veggies, and shrubs for shade and sun will be available for as long as supplies last. A white elephant stall will breathe new life into gently used garden gear and other items, and a raffle will round out the day.
Clubs and organizations planning a fundraiser may find that poster printing companies can supply lots of budget friendly marketing ideas. These may be helpful in ensuring a function is well attended and meets its fundraising goals.
The Lynn Valley Garden Club Plant Sale will welcome shoppers starting at 10:00 am on May 10th. 3400 Institute Road in North Vancouver will be the location for the market.
