North Vancouver will be getting its winter holiday season off to a festive start this November with a special event set for The Shipyards, and it will offer enjoyment for guests of all ages.
The venue will be all decked out for the Spirit of the Season Festival, and the fun will start with skating at the outdoor rink. Tickets are not required to participate, and admission will be free for all.
As well as the chance to do some skating, the function will feature a vendor market and live entertainment. First Nations groups and various local school bands, dancers and other performers will take to the stage to delight the crowd, and Santa will make his arrival on a city fire truck. The switch for the lights on the venue’s holiday tree will be thrown, and the location, including the skating area, is accessible to anyone who requires a mobility device.
Holiday-themed festivals are a common sight in many areas during the winter season, and many incorporate pop-up markets. Vendors at such events can order everything from Packaging supplies to Business Cards from local printers.
North Vancouver's Spirit of the Season Festival will make the holidays extra special on Sunday, November 30th. A full agenda for the occasion can be found on the City of North Vancouver website.
