The Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival will be returning to North Vancouver this fall with a renewed focus on local food and beverages.
The one-day event will feature three tasting sessions where attendees can sample items from dozens of local vendors. Participating businesses include Elder Bros Farms Distillery, Chilliwack River Valley Natural Honey, Two Rivers Meats and Not Too Sweet Craft Soda. More vendors will be announced in the lead-up to the festival.
The festival’s emphasis is on serving platter items, such as cured meats, cheeses and breads, as well as locally brewed wine, beer, and cider. There will also be a number of seminars designed to highlight the skills, materials and concerns that go into locally produced food.
The Vancouver Cheese and Meat festival has had to deal with delays, cancellations and uncertainties due to the pandemic, but it is hoping this year’s edition will help out local artisans, brewers and other food producers. The festival organizers hold similar events in Victoria and Seattle each year. Visitors will be able to take home their own charcuterie board and wine glass.
Events like this can provide invaluable exposure to small businesses, which often distribute branded Promotional Products alongside edible items to help make a permanent connection with visitors.
The 2021 edition of the Vancouver Cheese and Meat Festival will take place on November 6 at The Pipe Shop in North Vancouver.
