This August will mark the return of the Ambleside Music Festival, which brings some of the biggest bands in rock to the Metro Vancouver area.
This will be the tenth edition of the festival, celebrating more than a decade of bringing music to fans from West Vancouver and surrounding areas such as North Vancouver. Headlining this year’s show are indie-rock pioneers Weezer and 90s alternative rock hitmakers Third Eye Blind. Playing with Weezer on the first day of the festival are critically acclaimed groups Saint Motel, Said the Whale, and Wallice, while Third Eye Blind’s Sunday show will be backed up by Canadian favourites Finger Eleven, popular indie group Bahamas, and fellow 90s rock standouts Bran Van 3000.
The festival grounds will also include food trucks, with attendees also able to leave the grounds for local restaurants and return throughout the day. Festivals such as this provide an opportunity for local businesses to connect with customers, often using business card printing and special promotional campaigns to make long-lasting connections. The Ambleside Music Festival began in 2009 as the Summer Session, hosting artists such as Neil Young and Sarah McLachlan, and has grown to be one of the Vancouver area’s biggest music festivals.
The 2023 Ambleside Music Festival will take place at Ambleside Park in West Vancouver on August 19 and 20.
