Seminar highlights importance of social media to your business
Social media tools are becoming more and more important to businesses every day; it is not enough anymore to just promote a direct mail approach to marketing. With this in mind, the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce is presenting a seminar called Social Media: It’s your Business on October 21 from 9:30 am until 4:30 pm.
While the direct mail marketing approach such as arranging for a brochure and flyer printing to mail out to potential or current customers is still the most successful way to gain new business, it must now be integrated with a social media side in order to maximize your potential business.
The seminar will feature four speakers covering four aspects of social media:
• Social media tools – Mike Szyska will introduce you to social media tools, how they work and what you need to use them
• Email marketing – Mark Yaunish will describe how to develop email marketing campaigns and how to integrate them into more traditional ways of marketing
• Social media strategy – Danielle Klooster will show you how small businesses can use these tools as part of their marketing strategy and how to integrate traditional ways with social media
• Measuring results – Jerry Audenbach will discuss how social media effects you return on investment and how to measure the results
The seminar costs $99 for members of the Red Deer Chamber of Commerce and $199 for non-members. It is also possible to purchase afternoon or morning session tickets for $49.99 for members and $99 for non-members.
