Red Deer is set to celebrate spring’s arrival with an event that will have the whole town hopping with excitement.
For five hours on a date in late March, the Cenovus Learning Common - Red Deer Polytechnic will be transformed into the Hop Into Spring Market. A family-friendly occasion, there will be plenty of hands-on fun to be had, and everyone will go home with goodies to keep.
The kids will be invited to spend some time at the colouring and ornament crafting stations, and a free planting make and take is in the works as well, with all of the supplies provided. Face painters will be on hand, and glitter tattoos will also be on offer.
Costumed characters, including The Easter Bunny, Cinderella and Tinkerbell, will meet the kids in person for photo ops, and balloon twisters, mini photo sessions, games and a tabletop escape room are all on the agenda too. While the kids enjoy the fun, the parents can stop by the pop-up vendor market. Raffle draws for Corporate Gifts will round out the festivities.
The Hop Into Spring Market will see Red Deer celebrate the season’s arrival on March 28th. It will be open from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. The Learning Common is located at 100 Donald Boulevard. Both entry and parking are free.
