Residents of Red Deer are invited to “paws” their summer schedule for a fundraiser that will show some love to animals in need of a second chance at life.
The Pancakes for Paws breakfast will see diners treated to a hearty morning meal, and plates will be served for a minimum donation of $5.00. The charity of choice is the Central Alberta Humane Society, and this will be the 4th year for the activity.
Along with raising funds to help the Society continue its work, the function will serve as a kickoff to another school year. Each plate will include a stack of flapjacks as well as sausages, and there will be shelter tours, animal adoption specials, sales and an area set up with fun just for the kids.
Along with taking a seat for the breakfast, everyone is asked to bring along a donation of pet care items for the “stuff the van” supply drive that will be taking place along with the meal. A wrap can help a vehicle serve as a mobile marketing tool for a business or organization and can be crafted and instilled by a printing services company that supplies in-house graphic design.
The 4th annual Pancakes for Paws fundraiser and supply drive will be on offer on August 22nd at 4505-77th Street in Red Deer. The doors will open at 8:00 am.
