What's Happening in Red Deer, AB…

Red Deers expanding businesses could use promotional boost

After a few short months, Menchie’s is already opening a second location in Red Deer. The frozen yogurt business has seen a boom in the Red Deer community and a second yogurt shop is in the works and will set up shop soon, aiming for mid-September, in the Southpointe Common area.

Menchie’s allows customers to choose from different flavors and lets patrons dispense their own yogurt before selecting from a variety of wet and dry toppings, customizing their own yogurt. Menchie’s has become such a popular fast food chain that it is now one of the fastest-growing food franchises in North America. Prices are based on product weight.

The new space, slated to open in September, will be much larger than the first, allowing double the seating capacity and many more yogurt machines and flavors. Menchie’s in Red Deer hopes that the new location will also be able to host events, including parties.

As outlets continue to grow all over Canada, with more than 20 outlets currently located throughout the country and three in Alberta alone, demand for advertising services will inevitably increase. One important way of promoting new shop locations could be through strategic, colorful, and glossy banner and poster printing, in addition to web marketing and television commercials.

Poster printing has historically played an important role in promoting in store specials in fast food chains, as glossy and colorful images help entice patrons appetites and make food seem even more appealing.

Menchie’s began expanding in 2010 and Deon Beaupre, owner of the existing Red Deer store, believes the expansion shows no sign of slowing.
