Red Deer venue hosts nature Canada Day

The Red Deer community has a wide range of traditions for celebrating Canada Day, but this upcoming event has added some nature-focused activities.

The Ellis Nature Centre is not only a working farm but also an educational hub designed to demonstrate how the agricultural industry works with wildlife conservation by hosting a wide range of nature-focused educational programs and events, including the upcoming Canada Day celebration.

This Canada Day, the Ellis Nature Centre is elevating the classic Canada Day celebration and adding some nature-focused activities to this family-friendly celebration. Attendees will be able to participate in Canada Day classic activities like lawn games and a picnic lunch while also being able to test their skills in a scavenger hunt and a trivia game. There will also be several educational opportunities to learn about beavers and a visit from Butterfly Wings & Wishes, who will have a variety of creatures with them. On top of this, there will be several kids-focused activities as well, such as crafting and face painting.

Events at Ellis Nature Centre often have a focus on education, and event organizers can use tools like brochure printing to highlight key takeaways from the event and supply resources for additional information resources.

The Ellis Nature Centre will take place on July 1st at 39502 Range Rd 26-0, Lacombe County. Additional information can be found on the Ellis Nature Centre website.
