Red Deer tourist industry honors its own
The Red Deer Experience Awards gala is taking place next month, and will be presented by Tourism Red Deer.
The awards honor both individuals and businesses in the tourism industry based on customer service and experience. The nominations were open to the public and finalists were chosen by a panel of judges.
The evening will start off with a reception where guests can network with their peers while enjoying appetizers and cocktails. This will be followed by the awarding of awards in eight categories, four of which are individual and another four are for businesses. There will also be an award for Emerging Artist that will go to the Charlie Jacobson Band.
The event will finish off with an after-party with entertainment provided by the Charlie Jacobson Band.
Sponsorships are available for this event, and sponsors will be recognized in all printed advertising. To solicit nominations for these awards, organizers sent out posters and nomination cards. These were no doubt provided by Red Deer printing companies.
The gala will be held at Fratters Speakeasy Venue on June 1 from 5:30 PM to midnight. Tickets are $30 each, or only $20 without the after-party, but those interested are advised to book swiftly as attendance is limited to 140 people.
