Red Deer tour to visit agricultural operations

Agriculture is one of Alberta's top economic sectors, and a special tour that will depart from a Red Deer venue will provide industry insiders and others who are interested with a sneak peek behind the farm gate.

Tourism Red Deer has scheduled its Central Alberta Familiarization Tour-Agri-Trade, and the registrants will meet up at Westerner Park before they head out. They will be travelling in a luxury motor coach equipped with restroom facilities, and there will be several stops along its planned route.

One of the perks of being part of the tour is it will offer the opportunity to network and learn from the other participants. Stops at the Red Deer Polytechnic Centre for Manufacturing and Innovation, the Brandt Agriculture Dealership and also Antler Valley Farm and other venues are in the works, and tickets are $45.00 per person. Lunch at Gasoline Alley Farmers’ Market and a visit to Diony Distillery will round out the day.

An industry specific event may attract a lot of attention. Packets of information prepared by a brochure printing company are often distributed during these types of occasions.

Tourism Red Deer will be offering this insider’s view of the area’s agricultural sector on November 12th. The bus will depart from the pickup point at 8:30 am, and it will return at 5:00 pm.
