Red Deer to welcome play based on horror classic

Residents in Red Deer are to have the opportunity to sink their teeth into a play based on one of the most famous books in history.

Steven Dietz’s adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula is set to be performed in the town for two runs next month. The play, which closely follows the famous novel, is one of Dietz’s most successful pieces of work and will entertain audiences with both evening and matinee performances.

The gothic fantasy is a great adaptation of the horror classic and while many already know the story, seeing it on stage is a totally different experience. It is quite likely that brochure printing will be used to raise awareness and allow potential audience members access to more information.

This storyline is captivating to all audiences and this is great family entertainment for school age children and adults. The production, however, may not be suitable for younger children. Student matinee performances take place on February 13th and 15th starting at 12pm, and February 9th and 16th starting at 1pm.

Tickets for the production cost $25 per person. Matinee performances are available for students; more details of which can be found on the venue’s website. The facility is also wheelchair accessible. Dracula will be performed from February 7th to 9th and 12th to 16th starting at 7:30pm at the Red Deer College and Arts Centre in Red Deer, Alberta. Those looking for tickets can visit the Red Deer College and Arts Center or call its office at 403-342-3536.
