Some of the best adventure films from the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival are currently on tour and scheduled to arrive in Red Deer this January.
Red Deer Memorial Centre, built in 1951, will host film and outdoor enthusiasts for the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour. Those who attend the World Tour can see a wide range of adventure films that first debuted at the 2024 Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival. Some of the best films from the festival are selected to go on a tour so outdoor film fans can experience them worldwide, and this January, the tour comes to Red Deer. The proceeds from this film festival stop will be donated to the natural history program at the Kerry Woods Nature Centre.
Film festivals often make use of poster printing to help give upcoming audiences an idea of what films the festivals will feature. A time-honoured tradition in the film industry, it is important that the poster is designed to intrigue audiences without giving away the plot.
The Red Deer Memorial Centre is located at 4214 58 St, Red Deer, and will roll out the red carpet for the Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival World Tour at 6:00 p.m. on January 9th, 2025. The films will start at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase on Showpass.
