Red Deer set to get rolling with bowling fundraiser
Red Deer animal lovers will soon be taking to the lanes at a local bowling alley for an activity that its organizers hope will put the ‘fun’ in fundraising.
The inaugural Pins for Pups Bowl-a-thon will be raising money for New Chapter Animal Rescue. This will be the not for profit group’s first signature fundraiser, and the hope is that it will be a big success.
The Bowl-a-thon will be held at Heritage Lanes, and along with the bowling, there will be other fun to be had as well. Dinner will be served, and there will be a variety of prize draws. The registration fee is $65.00 each, and this includes one drink ticket as well as shoe rental, access to a taco and sundae buffet and the chance to win a prize. Many of these prizes have been donated by the local business community.
To further thank the bowlers for showing the rescue some love, they will each receive a T-shirt printed with a unique graphic design. A prize will be presented for the best dressed team, and a silent auction and even split draw will add even more fun to the day.
