An event that may help to save a dad’s life is on the agenda for Red Deer, and local motorcycle riders have been asked to be part of the fundraiser, which will take aim at prostate cancer.
The Red Deer Motorcycle Ride for Dad Chapter was formed back in 2018, and since then, it has hosted fundraisers and other events that work to make prostate cancer a thing of the past. It counts on the support of volunteers and sponsors, and it has an event on the calendar for this upcoming August.
The group will be running its 5th annual Ride for Dad, and those who collect at least $200 in pledges for the cause will have their name added to a draw for a brand-new BMW R 18 B motorcycle. The riders who take part will follow a scenic route, and at the finish line, they will be treated to lunch, as well as prize draws and other fun for the family.
A community event often benefits from heavy marketing. A Print shop will be able to make this easier by supplying everything from poster printing to a custom Logo Design.
The Ride for Dad event is on the way for August 19th. The staging area will be set up at 175 Leva Avenue. Registration opens at 7:30 am, and kickstands will go up at 9:30 am sharp.
