Red Deer orchestra to make audience wonder
The Red Deer Polytechnic Arts Centre and the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra are inviting concertgoers on a magical journey of wonder.
Told through the eyes of Wonder, a young woman in search of her lost song, 'Wandering with Wonder' is an immersive outdoor musical story created by a team of composers, dancers, musicians, puppeteers, and photographers. Written and produced by Red Deer Symphony Orchestra's (RDSO) own Samantha Whelan Kotkas, this production inspires a reconnection with nature.
Originally created as a live performance show, 'Wandering with Wonder' has evolved to reach a wider audience. Filmed in the open air and beautiful wilderness of Alberta, and accompanied live by the orchestral magnificence of the RDSO, the cinematic adventure takes the viewer into stunning landscapes as the players weave their tale.
The soundtrack ensemble for the film includes award-winning composers, songwriters, singers, and instrumentalists. Through their music and lyrics, the images on the screen come to life through vibrant soundscapes. In the same way, local businesses can use graphic design to bring life to their marketing materials, adding vibrancy and increasing market imprint.
