Red Deer hosting fundraiser under the stars
A community service organization that works to make sure everyone has a place to call home is hosting a garden party this spring, and the evening under the stars promises to be a festive affair.
Habitat For Humanity’s Red Deer chapter will be celebrating its 30th anniversary and also its 50th home built. The funds raised will support housing projects in the local area as well as the rest of central Alberta, and tickets start at $125 each.
The plans of the evening will see the guests enjoy both live and silent auctions, and live music will add an extra touch of fun. The attendees will be treated to an assortment of bites, and drinks will be served as well. Everyone is reminded to include floral elements in their attire, and the festivities will run for four hours.
Along with passes to the event, the organizers are also offering tickets for a shed raffle. Several local companies have donated corporate gifts in kind for the auction, and a full list of these supporters has been included in the event’s listing.
