Red Deer gives you wings
The 5th annual Central Alberta Wing Fest is taking place in Red Deer next month. It is a presentation of the Rotaract Club of Red Deer and the Rotary Club of Red Deer – Urban Spirits.
There will be over 20 vendors and restaurants on hand to provide samples of their best wings and beer will be available for purchase. The participating vendors will be competing against each other in three categories: Most Creative, Heat to Beat and Best Signature Recipe. The public will get to vote on their favorites.
There is also set to be live musical entertainment and games for people of all ages. There will also be several raffles and a 50/50 draw.
Proceeds from the festival will be donated to a fund to build an Access for All playground at Mattie Mccullough Elementary School which is due to open in the fall of 2018. This has been a three-year fundraiser with a goal of raising $500,000.
It is likely that the organizers will invest in some kind of signage from a Red Deer stationery printers shop.
