Red Deer expo to show off precious stones
This September, Red Deer will host the Rock N’ Gem Show, a traveling expo designed to highlight gems and other valuable stones.
The event will cover a 30,000 square foot area and will offer attendees not just traditional jewels, but also crystals, minerals, fossils and crafted jewellery. The event organizers have stated that all gems are ethically sourced, with many being mined in Canada.
The shows are run by Silver Cove, a gems vendor that also operates a storefront in Red Deer. Silver Cove will have a large selection of items, ranging from moonstones to beads, and there is also a selection of other vendors to be announced.
The Red Deer show is the first Rock N’ Gem Show to be held since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it will kick off a nationwide tour of similar shows. Future events are planned for Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa and more. The company also runs virtual events and “Can Gem Shows” focused on local vendors.
