Red Deer contest shows reflections of city
Local print companies may be interested in helping to promote a new contest in Red Deer that invites local residents to submit local pictures of the city for a chance to win in a contest. Until July 31st photographers, both amateurs and professionals, will have the opportunity to send pictures of their own neighbourhoods to create a unique picture of Red Deer. The images can be anything that they enjoy, including streetscapes, fields, parks, buildings and landmark places.
The pictures will be used to help inform future design plans and changes in the city, including the issue of public spaces, housing developments and street landscaping. Residents can also comment on submitted photographs and comment on what they like about the pictures and provide valuable feedback to help shape the future of the community of Red Deer.
It's possible that the winning submitted photographs will be converted to print by way of poster printing at some point in the future if they are to be used to help inform future community development, which means that the contest provides an opportunity for a reputable print company to become involved in the contest..
There is no limit to the number of submissions for the contest, as the goal is to create a plan of the city that reflects the character of its residents. Winners can expect to win one of three $100 Recreation Parks and Culture gift cards. The grand prizes will be drawn on August 1st.
