The Business of the Year Awards is taking place in about six weeks’ time, presented by the Red Deer and District Chamber of Commerce, and those who book soon can get a discount rate.
There are 60 nominees for four categories of awards, and the finalists will be announced on Friday, September 8. The categories are businesses with 1-15, 16 to 49, and 50 or more employees, but there is also a category for young entrepreneurs, who must be under the age of 35. In order to qualify for the awards, the companies must have positive growth and profit, global community involvement and positive employee/employer relationships.
The awards gala will consist of a cocktail reception with hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. There will also be live entertainment leading up to the awards presentations.
This is one of the most important networking events for the Red Deer business community. With chances to talk about business and exchange cards likely, many planning to attend will no doubt be placing a new premium Business Cards order with their favorite printing company.
