Children's festival returning to Red Deer in May
The Central Alberta Children's Fest will be returning to Red Deer during the last weekend of May.
The festival will feature many fun activities, including performances from Bobby Boogaloo and Maisiehoops, dancers and bounce houses. There will also be sporting activities, free snacks, face painting, a maze, live reptiles, a football toss, box hockey, and Lego building. There will no doubt be something to appeal to every child who attends.
Sponsorships are available to local companies which want to help ensure the smooth running of the festival. Prices range from $100 to supply water to the venue up to $2,500 for staging. Local businesses will probably be glad to help support such a worthwhile community event.
Organizers will likely be working with Red Deer printing companies to get word out to the community about the festival. This can be done by designing and printing flyers which will be distributed throughout the city and as inserts in newspapers. Posters may also be hung in public buildings and booklets can be made available in local tourism offices. No matter what product they use, they will be sure that it will reach a large number of people in a short time.
The 7th annual Central Alberta Children's Fest will take place at Recreation Park in Red Deer from May 31 - June 1. Tickets are $6 each or $20 for a family pass; school groups are $5 per person. For more information about the festival, call 404-343-6400.
