Being trained in basic first aid can be a simple way to be prepared for an emergency, and an Edmonton activity will offer this opportunity.
Local volunteers have been offered the chance to receive some free training in first aid, and it will also be open to anyone else who is interested for a fee. Tickets are $45.00 for members of the Sherbrooke Community League, while the general public has been asked to pay $145.00.
The First Aid Training - Basic Certification course will be a day-long affair. Those who register as a volunteer will be asked to provide proof, such as a Volunteer Letter, and various types of commonly encountered emergencies, including mental health emergencies, will be addressed. CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator will be on the agenda, and a written exam will take place at the end of the session.
Classes or other learning opportunities often utilize printed texts. These can be prepared by area Print shops, which can incorporate diagrams and other graphic design elements into the finished product.
This opportunity for those who call Edmonton home to become well versed in first aid will be on offer on May 18th. It will take place at 13008 122 Avenue Northwest, starting at 8:30 am sharp and finishing at 4:30 pm. Tickets are available through its Eventbrite listing.
