Edmonton will be getting into the swing of things this New Year’s Eve, thanks to a party that will be a high-energy affair.
Super Swing Ballroom wants to “swing in the new year” with a special celebration that will have everyone on the dance floor. The guests will be treated to music supplied by the Shigeta Swingtime Band, and to help newbies feel comfortable showing off their moves, a beginner drop-in lesson will be part of the experience.
The celebration will feature seven hours of fun, and a late lunch and prosecco or juice countdown are just two of the perks on offer for the attendees. There will be three sets of swing music played, and upstairs, fans of Motown and soul will find tunes to enjoy. A lounge area will provide seating, and the licensed bar will offer both soft and hard drinks, as well as virgin cocktails. Everyone should dress to impress in styles from the 60s and 70s, and prizes will be awarded for the best attire.
