Growing plants teaches kids about the STEM subjects while also encouraging them to develop an interest in environmental stewardship, and an Edmonton workshop will soon have them giggling in their own garden.
The Garden Giggles workshop will teach horticultural basics in “kid-friendly” way, and everyone will get their hands dirty. A set of supplies will be provided to each parent/child pair, and it will run for one hour and a half hours.
Each child will be invited to choose which heirloom seeds to plant from the packets provided, and they will receive nine biodegradable starter pots to plant in. Plant tags and soil that has been enriched with potassium will also be included, and to help ensure each near gardener finds success, they will go home with plant care sheets. Tickets are $25.00 each, and this includes the parent or guardian.
Hands-on gardening activities like this can make learning fun, and a printing services company can supply a wide variety of custom materials for such a workshop or class. These can include paper seed Envelopes, printed plant tags, dibblers and seeders, along with other themed Promotional Products.
The Garden Giggles Kids Workshop will help children to get growing on March 29th, starting at 3:00 pm. Meraki Emporium, loaded at 10011-82 Avenue in Edmonton, will be the venue for the session.
