Sake, which originally hailed from Japan, has become quite popular in the modern age, and an Edmonton tasting session will provide those who are new to the beverage with a chance to have a taste.
Sake 101 will offer an introduction to the drink, and it will take place on a Saturday afternoon in late June. Color de Vino will host the activity, and it will be facilitated by Lana from Sakegami.
The session will provide an approachable introduction to the beverage, including its history and how it is made. The participants will find out how practices such as rice polishing, water selection and different fermentation methods can impact the final product, and there will be lots of tastings along the way. The curated line up of sips will range from umami-driven to aromatic, and the different sake-producing regions of Japan will each be explored. The class may be enjoyed by both those who are new to the drink and experience sake sippers alike.
An activity focused on drinks may call for custom Drinkware, and this can be readily supplied by area printing services companies.
Saturday, June 27th will see Edmonton host the Sake 101 session. It will be on offer at Color de Vino, 9606 82 Avenue Northwest from 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Tickets are available via its Eventbrite listing.
