Edmonton course to help babysitters

Babysitting gives parents a chance to have some time on their own, and Edmonton youths who would like to get their own childminding business off the ground will find a local course can help them to get started.

The day-long training workshop, which is an initiative of Spectrum Safety Services and Second Chance CPR and First Aid, will offer an introduction to a variety of topics that can help to make someone a better babysitter. The knowledge shared will be helpful for minding children of any age, and the class will run for seven hours.

The learning will be divided into several sections, and it will cover everything from how to keep a child entertained to the basics of first aid and running a business. The expectations of the families they will work with will be reviewed, and participants will also find out how they can make sure their charges are safe.

During this sort of activity, the registrants are often given a variety of learning materials, such as manuals, certificates of completion and wallet cards that indicate an individual has completed the training. These can all be sourced from local Stationery printers.

The Babysitting Course will be offered to young people in Edmonton on July 18th. The venue for the activity is located at 11710 Kingsway Avenue, and it will commence at 8:30 am.
