Festival celebrates Calgary cat community

Calgary’s cat fans will soon get the chance to have a “purr-fectly” great time at a festival weekend that will put felines front and centre.

The Calgary Cat Festival and Market will be two days dedicated to these furry friends, and the Contemporary Calgary has been chosen to host the celebration. No pedigree is required to join in the fun, and there will be lots to see and do.

The festival will include a wide assortment of small businesses from Calgary and the surrounding areas, and cat rescue and rehoming groups will also be on site. Everyone can “shop ‘til they drop” in the pop-up market, which will feature a variety of cat-themed items. There will be information booths to explore, and workshops have been scheduled as well. The popular Ravensburger Puzzle Tournament will be back, and spots for this must be reserved ahead of time. Whether they win or lose, each team of two will be able to keep the puzzle they worked on.

Festivals and other public gatherings may offer a lot of sales opportunities for the businesses that take part. Custom booth decor prepared by a printing services company provides a way to create a professional-looking sales space that grabs the attention of the attendees.

The 2026 Calgary Cat Festival will pay tribute to these furry friends on September 12th and 13th. Tickets and seats in the puzzle tournament may be reserved through its website.
