A gingerbread house is the final festive touch for many families during the winter holiday season, and a Calgary make-and-take session will see its attendees prepare one that tastes as good as it looks.
La Savour Patisserie will soon welcome participants at the Northland Fenyk Coffee & Social for its Whimsical Gingerbread Cake House session. Passes are $59.00 each, and the activity is intended to be fun and casual.
The facilitator will teach some of the basics of cake decor, and everyone will be able to transform their four-inch pre-baked cake into a masterpiece they can take home. Frosting and other decorative elements will be provided, and take home Boxes are also covered by the ticket price. Everyone will receive a drink to sip on while they work, and when they leave, the attendees will all have skills they can use to decorate other cake creations.
Learning a new baking or cooking technique can be especially fun when done as part of a group. Print shops can prepare everything from recipe cards to pre-printed food boxes for a culinary class like this one.
