The Calgary Humane Society offers animals in need a helping hand, as well as educating the public, and it has an activity for kids that will open 2026.
The society has scheduled a day camp for early January, and it will be for animal lovers from grades 1 to 6. The fee being charged is $70 for the day, and it is part of the organization’s Everything Animal PD Camps program.
The campers that participate in the session will be invited to make new friends and have fun. There will be animal-themed games to play and crafts to make, as well as interactions with some of the dogs, cats and other animals at the venue. The kids will learn basic companion animal care, as well as how to be compassionate. The drop off time will be 9:00 am and pick up is set for 4:00 pm. Before and after care will not be available.
A flyer printing company will be happy to help organizers of day camps and other similar events to prepare custom materials that help get the word out to interested families.
The Calgary Humane Society will be offering its PD Day Camp on January 5th. It will be on offer at 4455 110 Avenue SE, and the registration system can be accessed through the organization’s website.
