Calgary workshop to showcase citys wild side

The flora, fauna and fungi found in a particular location are often all interconnected and depend on one another for survival, and a family-friendly Calgary event will provide a sneak peek into the city’s varied ecosystems.

The Leighton Art Centre has organized a series of workshops, and one planned for early September will introduce participants to the area’s wild side. Kids aged six and up are welcome, but they will need to have an adult accompany them.

The session will take place outdoors. The group will create an art project, and the supplies for this will be provided. Once the workshop has concluded, the families can opt to enjoy a picnic on site, and everyone is reminded to dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Face masks are mandatory, and refunds will not be given unless the function must be cancelled due to bad weather, low enrolment or restrictions due to COVID-19.

The organizers of the day have explained that everyone who registers will be asked to sign a liability waiver. Documents like this can be ordered from local Stationery printers, along with Letterheads and other custom paperwork.

The Woodland Creatures instalment of the Leighton Art Centre’s Family Art and Nature Series is scheduled for September 4th. Everyone who Signs up is asked to arrive by no later than 9:30 am.
