A fundraiser that will help make it possible for kids who have fought a tough battle to enjoy some summer fun is set to hit the road in Calgary, and everyone is welcome to lace up their sneakers and join the fun.
The ACH Neurosurgery Kids Fund has organized the 2023 Joggin for a Noggin run and walk, and it promises to be a fun-filled day for all the participants. They can choose from either a 5km run or a 1k walk, and those who choose the walk will be able to do some trick or treating at the candy stations that will be set up along the route. Costumes are encouraged, and well-behaved, leashed dogs may participate as well.
To thank the supporters for registering, each of the runners and walkers will be offered a selection of perks. Food, coffee and hot chocolate will be distributed, and a face painter will be on hand. Camp Easter Seals will be serving up s’mores, and the silent auction will boast a selection of Corporate Gifts donated by local businesses and community members.
The fundraiser will be taking place at Bowness Park, and those who need a mobility device are welcome to roll their way along. There will be alternative goodies available for any kids who cannot have the candy.
