The crisp days of early fall provide a pleasant atmosphere for a pop-up outdoor market, and one of these activities will be helping Calgary to welcome the arrival of the season.
The Marda Loop Communities Association recently announced that plans are in the works for its second annual Septemberfest, which will showcase the creative talents of at least 85 different Alberta makers. The event is open to the general public, and many of the vendor booths will be set up outdoors.
The function will include a wide variety of handmade items, and food will be on offer as well. It will be both family and pet friendly, and free onsite parking will be available. Everyone who comes out can meet with the various crafters and sellers, mingle with their neighbours and learn more about what makes the community special. The festival will begin in mid-morning, and it will take place for six hours.
Pop-up markets provide a fun way for makers to connect with their community. Business Cards are often ordered by vendors prior to attending festivals like this so that they can distribute them during the event to potential customers.
