An upcoming Calgary dinner will provide its guests with an insight into the life experiences that disabled people live through every day.
Tickets for Dinner for Doors are now on offer, and those who attend the function will be offered a glimpse into issues related to accessible housing. It was explained that, in the past, this event has been a sell out, with its planners are hoping this year will be a repeat of that success.
The diners will be enjoying a three-course plated dinner, and while they sit down and savour their supper, they will be able to meet and connect with others in the community who care about accessibility. In previous years, the ticket holders were offered the chance to try using a wheelchair, using a rollator to walk, and having their vision obscured so they can understand what it can be like to overcome visual and mobility challenges. Parking is included in the ticket price.
