Becoming a mom can be a really joyful time, but it's often also very stressful, and a Calgary event may be just what a new mother needs to feel confident in her new role.

The activity will introduce some new coping skills that many parents find helpful, and the organizers pointed out that it will address issues that are often tough to discuss. Feeding, comforting and other aspects of newborn and baby care are on the agenda, as will tips for the participants to help them strengthen and support the other relationships in their lives. Finances and creating a positive work-life balance will wrap up the conversation, and the hope is that everyone will head for home feeling renewed and refreshed.
