Savvy gardeners know that starting seeds greatly expands the number of types of plants they can grow, and a Calgary workshop will teach how to get started.
Spruce It Up Garden Centre has set the date for a Seed Starting Workshop, and everyone who attends will be able to take some plant starts home. It will kick off the gardening calendar for another year, and it will run for one and half hours.
The session will start at the beginning with a review of soil and how to build a good growing medium for a variety of plants. A discussion of various watering techniques has been planned, and the importance of using additional light for healthy growth is on the agenda. Everyone can choose some seeds to plant, and two types of tomatoes as well as marigolds will be available. The activity can be a good introduction to beginners as well as a refresher for old hats.
A workshop often covers a lot of information in a small amount of time, and many organizers have Copies of handouts prepared so the attendees can keep on learning. Stationery printers will be happy to provide this service.
Spruce It Up Garden Centre located at 159 210 Avenue Southwest, Calgary, will host this activity on March 7th. The registration fee is $50.00 each, and it will begin at 10:00 am.
