Calgary home cooks to help those in need

It has been said that many hands make light work, and this maxim will be on full display when a group of Calgary volunteers lend a hand with an upcoming community service project.

Dubbed “Made by Momma”, the group has put out a call to anyone who would like to help make sure everyone has food on their table. Instructions will be provided, and while they work, everyone who participates can socialize and enjoy one another’s company.

The helpers will be preparing pre-made meals for distribution to those in need. The activity will open with a presentation and orientation, and after this, everyone can choose their station and get cooking. The recipes will be provided, and the completed dishes will then be divided up, packaged and made ready for delivery.

Everyone who would like to get involved is asked to RSVP. They will need to wear close-toed shoes, keep their hair tied back and, if they are wearing boots, it has been requested they bring along indoor footwear to change into.

Those who volunteer with a project like this one may get a lot of satisfaction from doing so. Certificates that thank them for their assistance can be prepared by Stationery printers.

The Made By Momma Group Cook event will be taking place at 66 21 Street in Northwest Calgary. It is scheduled for March 26th.
