Calgary to receive two new healthcare centres

Calgary residents have received some welcome news that will increase their ability to access health care in a timely manner.

It was recently announced that $45 million dollars in funding has been allocated for the creation of nine new Family Care Clinics (FCCs) across the province of Alberta. Two of these locations will be in the city of Calgary.

The new centres will open in Calgary West Bow, Calgary North Canter, Edmonton Oliver, Consort, Edmonton Boyle McCauley, Sylvan Lake, Peace River, the Metis association of Alberta, and Siska.

In 2013, it was announced that 24 new locations would be made open to the public, including these nine.

The FCCs have already submitted the paperwork needed for a corporation to operate on a not-for-profit basis, and to get funding from the province.

It was also announced that $32 million would be made available to implement improvements to the system of provincial Primary Care Networks. They will now offer same day or next day appointments to their patients and extended hours of operation.

It is hoped that this will shorten wait times across the province.

These new clinics will likely require a lot of printed materials for their day to day operations. A Stationery printing company will be able to provide things like Business Cards, appointment reminder cards, Letterheads, and fax cover sheets, as well as a wide range of promotional items.
