Calgary’s Fish Creek has a long and historic past, and an upcoming walking tour will introduce members of the public who attend to its otherworldly inhabitants.
The site will be the location for two evening walks led by Friends of Fish Creek founder Wayne Meikle, who is also a former staff member with Alberta Parks. The excursions will both be two hours long, and will cover a distance of approximately two kilometres on trails that are mostly paved, although there may be some standing and walking on rough surfaces.
During the activities, Meikle will share stories about the site’s history, and the group will hear tales of the mysterious happenings that have occurred since it first opened. He will introduce them to the site’s trails and facilities, including its engineered wetlands and other ecosystems. Tickets are $8.45, which includes both the processing fee and taxes. The registrants will meet up at Bow Valley Ranch before they get started.
Walks and other types of in-person activities like this can provide the public with a fun introduction to a venue. Maps, promotional Pens and other items for these sorts of organized occasions will be available at area printers.
The Ghosts of Fish Creek Walking Tours will be on offer on October 26th and 27th. The registration process can be completed online.
