Calgary golf course welcomes evening networking
A Calgary advocacy group for women in business will soon be taking to the greens at a local course for an activity that will help them up their networking game.
Young Women in Energy (YWE) will be heading to The Winston Golf Club for the YWE Niners Golf networking night. It is designed to encourage connection and conversations.
Each attendee at the event will receive their specific tee time before each of the three rounds, and to encourage everyone to get to know one another, pull carts will be used instead of powered ones. Range balls are included, and everyone may want to bring a refreshment for out on the course. Clubs may be available for rent, and proper golf attire is a requirement. Once the play has finished, the golfers will take to Nixx Neighbourhood Pub for a post-game dinner and drinks.
A lot of business can take place out on the greens, and golf tournaments and other themed events may attract a lot of attention from businesspeople. Players that have a stack of business cards at the ready will be prepared to take full advantage of any networking opportunities that come up.
