The holiday season brings with it lots of colourful displays, and those who take part in an upcoming fundraising workshop will be able to craft decor to keep or give to someone special.
The Annual Sunalta Winter Greens Fundraiser is in the works for this year, and it is being presented by Calgary’s Sunalta Community Association. It will see its attendees prepare a festive centrepiece as well as an evergreen bundle to hang on their door or wall, and the supplies needed will all be provided.
Horticulturist Janet Melrose will be sharing her expertise during the activity, and each ticket holder will use the materials supplied to prepare both an informal door hanger and a table arrangement. The participants will use seasonal greenery for their projects, and tickets are $65.00. More information will be released when the ticketing system for the session goes live.
A hands-on crafting class teaches new skills, and it may also be a lot of fun for those who take part. Students in a session like this may benefit from receiving printed tip sheets, and these can be prepared by area Stationery printers.
The Sunalta Community Association will be sharing the secrets of preparing evergreen decor for the holiday season later this year. The date and location for the class will be released to the public in due course via the Sunalta.net website.
