Calgary class crafts Tiki drinks
Tiki drinks can add a tropical touch to a party or other event, and a Calgary mixology class will introduce these libations and how to craft them.
Confluence Distilling is set to host its Tiki Cocktails workshop in honour of National Daiquiri Day, and it is for those ages 18 and up. It will be filled with breezy summer-themed flavours, and tickets start at $97.18.
The plans for the evening include lots of spirits, socializing and stories, and it will include a history of Tiki drinks and why they are so popular. It will be a casual experience, and its organizers have suggested it could be a fun idea for a date night or friends evening out. Spirit tastings are on the agenda, and everyone will learn how to prepare three different drinks. When it is time to leave, everyone will receive some dried garnishes so they can make their own libations at home. A door prize draw will wrap up the session.
Food and beverage classes often include distributing recipes to the learners. These can be produced by a local printing services company.
Confluence Distilling will be providing this fun introduction to the world of Tiki-style cocktails on July 19th. It will begin at 5:30 pm at 507 36 Avenue Southeast Calgary, and a registration link is available through its Eventbrite listing.
