Pumpkins can be used to prepare everything from pies to jack o'lanterns, and a Calgary class will show how they may also be used as planters for a fall arrangement.
Spruce it Up Garden Centre Year Round will be bringing some extra festive floral fun to the city when it hosts its Succulent Pumpkin Workshop, and all levels of planting experience may enjoy the session. Tickets are $40.00 each, and expert instruction will be provided.
Each of the attendees in the class will receive a pumpkin as well as a succulents in a variety of seasonal colours. Moss and tools will also be supplied, and everyone will walk away with tips they can use to keep their creation looking great. The attendees will be able to take their arrangement home with them once the workshop has drawn to a close.
Planting and other horticultural classes give attendees an opportunity to learn how to get growing. Many organizers order cheat sheets from area Stationery printers that provide advice for keeping plants healthy and thriving.
The Succulent Pumpkin Workshop is scheduled for October 25th, and it will run from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. The venue can be found at 159 210 Avenue in Southwest Calgary. The last workshop hosted at the venue sold out quickly, and its organizers expect this one will do the same.
