Calgary kids and adults alike are invited to start their new year off with an activity that will encourage them to explore their creative side.
The Puppet Pop Up initiative, facilitated by WP Puppet Theatre, has dates planned for the upcoming year, and its schedule kicks off in early January. They will take place at seven different locations in the city, and each has a scheduled runtime of two hours.
The first pop up on the schedule will introduce the importance of being kind to animals. The participants will be invited to use the materials supplied to prepare an animal puppet. They will then use their creation in a video to help spread the word. A portion of the ticket sales will, be donated to World Animal Protection Canada. Admission is $10.00 each, and anyone who can afford to do so may choose to make an additional donation if they wish.
The listing for the activity explained that it is best suited to those aged 5 and up. A flyer printing company can partner with not for profit groups to help them promote their events while still staying on budget.
The first instalment of the Puppet Pop Up schedule will be held on January 4th. The venue will be announced to the ticket holders closer to the date set for the event.
