The Calgary Parrot Head Club encourages its membership to enjoy tropical-themed fun inspired by the music of Jimmy Buffet, and it will be teeing off at a local club in support of the city’s kids.
The group’s annual Golf Tournament will be held at Wingfield Golf Course, and it promises to be the most colourful tournament this year. Everyone is encouraged to enter its relaxed vibe by wearing tropical gear and decking out their golf cart, and both members and non-members will be welcome.
Play will begin in the afternoon, and will follow a nine hole, best ball format. Each ticket holder will have the use of a cart, and they can access the practice range before they take to the greens. Welcome Corporate Gifts will be distributed and a dinner will round out the occasion. There will be prize draws and skill testing competitions, and everyone can indicate their meal choice when they sign up.
The charity of choice for the tourney will be Brown Bagging for Calgary’s Kids. The organizers are interested in hearing from local companies or individuals that would like to get involved. They can donate a draw prize or volunteer. Stationery printers can design certificates of appreciation to distribute to those who lend a helping hand with a fundraising activity.
