Calgary class introduces Easter floral design

The Faculty of Continuing Education at Calgary's Mount Royal University provides the public with opportunities to learn something new, and it has an Easter-themed floral design class on offer in late March.

The venue will be wrapping up the month with its Easter Blooms workshop, and it will introduce a variety of floral design concepts. It may be of interest to those who enjoy working with flowers professionally or as a hobby.

During the class, the attendees will find out how they can use blooms that tend to be associated with Easter to create a beautiful arrangement, with interlacing and other techniques on the agenda. Everyone will learn how they can use curly willow to craft a nest-like armature, and creating a natural grid with flowers within a vase will be reviewed as well. Everyone will walk away with knowledge they will be able to use right away.

A list of supplies for the registrants to bring with them has been prepared, and it includes small pruning shears or a floral knife, a large garbage bag, a “work” pail or container and some other items. The flowers and other containers will be provided. When preparing to run a class or either learning activity, organizers can order items such as Copies of handouts, promotional Pens and other materials from local Print shops.

The Easter Blooms session is scheduled for March 31st, and the deadline to register is March 26th. The University's Lincoln Park Campus will be the venue for the event. It will begin at 6:00 pm and will run for two and half hours.
