Calgary Halloween run to help animals in need

Run Calgary welcomes runners and walkers for events throughout the year, and in honour of the spooky season, it has plans in the works for a Halloween night race.

The organization has announced that its Dash of Doom is set to go ahead this year, and it will be both kid and pet friendly. This activity is a popular tradition with many families, and there are three different options to choose from.

The participants will be able to register for a 10-km run or a 5-km walk or run, and the kids can hit the road for the 1-km dash. Anyone who requires a mobility device can roll their way along.

To add even more fun, the function will get started with a Halloween fun fest. Everyone can do some trick or treating and have their face painted, and a dance party and photo booth are also both on the agenda. Everyone is reminded to come in costume, and prizes will be presented to the people and pets with the best get up.

While the function may be about having fun, it will also raise money for the Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society. Along with the other perks, each registrant will receive an assortment of Promotional Products to thank them for their support.

The Dash of Doom Halloween Run is scheduled for October 28th. It will begin and end at North Glenmore Parking Lot O.
