Calgary fundraiser to offer Fido a helping hand

The Calgary Humane Society works hard all year to help prevent animal cruelty, and one of its signature events is set to help fund its efforts.

The not-for-profit will be giving dogs and their owners an opportunity to support its efforts and have fun doing so by hosting its Dog Jog. Those who would like to get involved can choose to walk, run or roll their way along using their wheelchair or other assistive mobility device, and all ages can participate.

The activity is set to take place in North Glenmore Park, and Fido is welcome to join the fun. It is a non-competitive activity, and both 2.5-kilometre and 5-kilometre routes are available. While they go, the participants will also be raising awareness about the Humane Society and how it helps animals in the local community in need of some TLC, and after they have completed their walk or run, they can spend some time relaxing at the community festival to follow.

A fundraiser often depends on the support of the public to achieve success. A banner printing company can craft a variety of materials that help to increase awareness of an event.

This year’s Calgary Dog Jog will be hitting the trails at North Glenmore Park on June 3rd. There's no fee to register, and further details can be found online.
