The Samaritan Club of Calgary hosts a semi-annual Super Thrift Sale, and it has set the date for its fall edition.
Thrifters of all ages and interests are invited to attend, and everything from household goods and clothing to small appliances will be on offer. These gently used items may still have a lot of life left in them, and while they shop, the attendees will be supporting a variety of grassroots-level programming.
The event will be held at the Hillhurst-Sunnyside Community Centre, and it will run for four hours. Those who plan on coming out are reminded that only cash will be accepted as payment. There will be change rooms on site for anyone who would like to try before they buy, and a parcel pick-up service will also be available.
Thrift sales, flea markets and other pop-up style like this markets can be fun ideas for a fundraiser. Clubs and organizations that host these types of activities can order a variety of budget-friendly marking materials at a local printing services company.
The Fall Super Thrift Sale will be open from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday, September 28. It will be held at 1320 5 Avenue Northwest. The Samaritan Club of Calgary’s official website will have the most up to date information for anyone interested in attending.
